Abstract

Prijevoz stoke morem je vrlo važan segment u prehrambenoj industriji zbog mogućnosti prijevoza velikog broja životinja u kratkom vremenskom periodu što nijedna druga vrsta prijevoza nije u mogućnosti ponuditi. Australija se posebno ističe kao jedan od glavnih izvoznika stoke sa vrlo razvijenom prehrambenom industrijom. Gradnja specijaliziranih brodova za prijevoz stoke je omogućila dosta velik napredak u transportu. S povećanjem svjetske populacije za očekivati je daljnji napredak ove industrije, a posebno na glavnim izvoznim tržištima poput Kine i jugoistočne Azije.Livestock carriage by sea is a very important segment in the food industry because of the possibility of transporting a large number of animals over a short period of time which no other transport is able to offer. Australia is particularly noted as one of the major livestock exporters with a highly developed food industry. Construction of the specialized livestock carriers has enabled huge improvement of carriage of livestock by sea. With the increase of global population growth of this industry is to be expected, especially on the major export markets like China and Southeast Asia
