Polimedialność baśni klasycznych na przykładzie "Królewny Śnieżki" braci Grimm

Abstract

The fairy tale on the contemporary publishing-book market undergoes the mechanisms of the mass culture which has an intense influence on its shape and its form. The fairy tale is not only being made available to readers, as the book, but also, as the film adaptation, or computer games. A polymedial quality of classical fairy tale, for which we can find motifs, motives, schemes and forms in films both for children and for adults was shown on the example of Snow White by Grimm Brothers. Also, many new literary texts playing an intertextual game with the reader were created on the basis of the classic fairy tale. It is possible to understand it only when the text underlying the adaptation is known. Therefore before the young reader starts getting to know the other forms of using a classic fairy-tale, he has to get to know the authentic text well. Only then can he/she understand all the literary allusions, as well as appreciate the writer’s concept
