The main research question posed in the article is: What impact have cultural wars
had on the process of political competition in Poland? The aim of the article is to characterize
the process of political competition in Poland between 1991 and 2011. Electoral and cabinet
coalitions shall be characterized here, and the process of competition shall be shown through
the phenomenon of “cultural wars”. Since the article is interdisciplinary in nature, its research
problem shall be analysed on the basis of political science, sociology and philosophy. The attempt
to answer the research question can make a significant contribution to further exploration of the
phenomenon of “cultural wars” in competition on the Polish political scene
