Narrative Voices in Luka Bekavac's Novel Viljevo

Abstract

In this graduate thesis I will interpretate and analyze the postmodern novel Viljevo, which author is Luka Bekavac. The central part is the analysis of narrative voices, voice linguistics, metaphysics and voice physics, and the destruction of traditional narrative elements that are reflected in narrative voice, fable, space and time of action, and genre determination. The analysis of the literary text will reveal the postmodern procedures by which the author has made the problematic task of understanding this literary work as a meaningful and logical totality. The interpretation of the novel will reveal the role and the source of the voice and the elements that influence its formatting
