Charakterisierung des paraxialen Protocadherins während der Innenohrentwicklung

Abstract

This work aims to reveal the role of paraxial protocadherin in otic development, an adhesion protein that has been shown recently to be expressed in otic epithelia. Loss of PAPC leads to morphological failures which result mainly in epithelial disorganisation. XPAPC is necessary to establish apical-basal polarity and thereby maintains epithelial integrity. The most severe alterations can be observed during early development at the invagination process
