Prometni sektor drži se kao sektor od izuzetne važnosti za rast i razvoj gospodarstva jedne zemlje. Njegova važnost je velika pa svaka zemlja treba provoditi politike koje će utjecati na unaprjeđenje prometnog sektora. Globalizacija i razvoj novih tehnologija nameću bitnost reagiranja na promjene i na novostvorene potrebe. Prometna politika treba sagledavati tri seta uvjeta i to investicijske, institucionalne i političke. Navedene značajke navode nas na to kako je potrebno strateško planiranje razvoja prometnog sektora. Cilj rada je analiza strateškog planiranja razvoja prometnog sektora kroz analiziranje dokumenata u okviru politike Republike Hrvatske. U radu je analizirano trenutno stanje prometne infrastrukture, mogućnosti napredovanja u svakom pojedinom sektoru te ciljevi odnosno vizija razvoja kako bi prometni sektor trebao u budućnosti funkcionirati.The transport sector is known as a sector of great importance for the growth and development of the nacional economy. Meaning of transport is great so every country should implement policies that will affect the improvement of the transport sector. Globalization and the development of new technologies impose the importance of responding to the changes and the newly created needs. Transport policy needs to watch out about three sets of conditions: invesment, institutional and political. These features lead us to necessarity of strategic planning of development of the transport sector. The aim is to analyze the strategic planning of development of the transport sector through the analysis of documents in the context of the Croatian politics. This paper analyzes the current state of the transport infrastructure, advancement opportunities in each sector and the goals and vision of development that wil show how should transport sector work in future
