Varietal influence on the quality of seedlings of lettuce and carrot seedlings

Abstract

Osnovni preduvjet uspješnog uzgoja neke vrste ovisi o klijavosti sjemena zatim o agroekološkim uvjetima te genotipu. Prvi cilj istraživanja bio je utvrditi utjecaj sorte na klijavost i kvalitetu presadnica tri sorte salate (Majska kraljica, Atrakcija i Brazilijanka) uzgojene u plasteniku Veleučilišta u Slavonskom Brodu. Pokus je postavljen u četiri ponavljanja sa 100 posijanih sjemenki u kontejnere sa 104 sjetvena mjesta napunjenim supstratom za uzgoj presadnica salate, a za navodnjavanje je korištena vodovodna voda. Drugi cilj istraživanja bio je utvrditi utjecaj sorte na klijavost i kvalitetu klijanaca četiri sorte mrkve (Flaker, Chantenay, Duga tupa bez srca i Nantaise amelioree 2) u laboratorijskim uvjetima metodom rolanog filter papira. Pokus je postavljen u četiri ponavljanja sa 50 sjemenki uz vlaženje destiliranom vodom. Utvrđen je vrlo značajan (P≤0,01) utjecaj sorte salate na sva mjerena svojstva (klijavost, duljinu nadzemnog dijela presadnica, duljinu korijena presadnica, ukupnu duljinu presadnica, te masu presadnica). Također je utvrđena korelacijska povezanost između mase i duljine presadnica salate Majska kraljica. Utjecaj sorte na klijavost mrkve također je bio značajan, dok razlike u duljini klijanaca i masi klijanaca nisu bile statistički značajne. Utvrđena je čvrsta korelacijska povezanost mase i duljine klijanaca mrkve sorata: Nantaise amelioree 2 (P1), Flaker i Duga tupa bez srca.The basic prerequisite for successful breeding of a species depends on seed germination, on the environmental conditions and the genotype. The first aim of this study was to determine the influence of varieties on seed germination and seedling quality of three varieties of lettuce (Max Queen, Attraction, Brasiliana) grown in a greenhouse Polytechnic in Slavonski Brod. The experiment was set in four repetitions with 100 seeds planted in containers with 104 sowing places filled with substratum for cultivation of lettuce seedlings and irrigation was supplied with tap water. The second aim of this study was to determine the influence of varieties on seed germination and seedling quality of the four varieties of carrots (Flakkee, Chantenay, Long dull heartless, Nantaise amelioree 2) in laboratory conditions with rolled filter paper method. The experiment was set in four repetitions with 50 seeds by wetting with distilled water. A very significant impact (P≤0,01) was established on all varieties of lettuce measured properties (germination, the length of the above-ground parts of seedlings, seedling root length, total length of seedlings and transplants mass). A correlation connection also was established between the weight and length of seedlings of lettuce May Queen. The impact on seed varieties of carrots has been significant, while the difference in the length of the seedlings to the mass of seedlings were not statistically significant. There was a strong correlation connection between mass and length of seedling varieties of carrots: Nantaise amelioree 2 (P1), Flakkee and Long dull heartless
