The expression and function of human Anterior Gradient Homolog 3 in Prostate Cancer

Abstract

To reduce prostate cancer mortality, research aims to characterize the molecular events that enhance disease progression. Anterior Gradient homolog 3 (AGR3) is a member of the protein disulfide isomerase family associated with prostate cancer. The function of this gene in prostate tumor progression is investigated in the present study. AGR3 expression is highest in patients with advanced disease and can enhance tumor progression by promoting the growth, viability, and migration of tumor cells
