This thesis presents a multitude of measurements of the charge asymmetry in top quark pair production, using data have been collected by the CMS detector in the proton-proton collisions of the CERN LHC at a center-of-mass energy of 8 TeV. All presented measurements rely on a carefully optimized regularized unfolding procedure, which is used to measure the charge asymmetry both inclusively as well as differentially as a function of kinematic variables of the top quark pair system
