Advanced distillation processes - overview and application

Abstract

Destilacija je najzastupljeniji separacijski proces u industriji, o čemu najbolje govori podatak da 3% ukupne potrošnje energije u svijetu odlazi na proces destilacije. No unatoč tome ima nisku termodinamičku djelotvornost. Zbog toga se traže najbolji i najjeftiniji načini za optimiranje procesa destilacije. U ovom radu su opisani razvoji i izvedbe triju naprednih destilacijskih procesa sa svojim prednostima i nedostacima, a to su destilacijska kolona s razdjelnom stijenkom, toplinski potpuno integrirana destilacijska kolona i reaktivna destilacija.Distillation is the most commonly used process in industry which can best be seen in the fact that 3% of world's energy consumption goes on process of distillation. However, distillation has low thermodynamical efficiency. Therefore engineers are trying to find the least expensive and the most efficient ways of optimising distillation processes. In this paper are described the development and construction followed by advantages and disadvantages of three advanced distillation processes: dividing wall column (DWC), internally heat integrated distillation column (HIDiC) and reactive distillation (RD)
