Map of specific vulnerability to the main sources of nitrogen compounds in the area of Zagreb aqiufer : master’s thesis

Abstract

Cilj istraživanja ovog rada je procjena ranjivosti zagrebačkog vodonosnika. Prethodno su utvrđena brojna onečišćivala na promatranom području, koja prijete kvaliteti podzemne vode. Od svih onečišćivala, najviše je dostupnih podataka za dušikove spojeve, kao potencijalna onečišćivala. S obzirom na prethodna istraživanja i dostupnost podataka, u obzir su uzeta svojstva vodonosnika, ali i najčešći izvori dušikovih spojeva. S tim je podacima napravljena baza podataka u računalnom softveru ArcGIS Desktop. Podaci su podijeljeni u 9 slojeva, a svakom od 9 slojeva u bazi podataka dodijeljen je jedan težinski faktor ili raspon faktora. Preko težinskog faktora i osmišljene formule dobivene su karte raspodjele indeksa ranjivosti i karta ranjivosti zagrebačkog vodonosnika.The subject of this research is the evaluation of vulnerability of the Zagreb aquifer. Previously, all the most frequent contaminants were determined at the observed area. However, the majority of data on potential contaminants refers to nitrogen compounds. Based on the previous knowledge and the availability of the data, the GIS database was created using the ArcGIS Desktop computer software. The collected data had all the previously known information about aquifer properties and sources of nitrogen compounds. The data were divided into 9 layers, and each layer was given one or a range of weighted factors. Based on the weighted factors and the created formula, the map of the vulnerability index distribution and the map of Zagreb aquifer vulnerability were created
