Analysis of Road Infrastructure in Functional Region of Central Croatia

Abstract

Strategijom prometnog razvoja Republike Hrvatske uvodi se obveza prometnog planiranja na sasvim novim osnovama. Prometna infrastruktura treba podržavati uravnoteženi regionalni razvoj i međusobno nadopunjavanje ruralnih i urbanih područja . Potrebno je razvijati integrirani pristup i omogućiti mobilnost i jednaku dostupnost u svim područjima čime se stvaraju uvjeti za gospodarski razvoj.Prednost treba dati funkcionalnim regijama, a razvojne procese analizirati neovisno o administrativno-teritorijalnim granicama. Potiče se izrada Master planova prometnog razvoja, kao stručnih podloga, koji trebaju identificirati probleme i prilike za poboljšanje prometnog sustava gradova ili regija,te postaviti okvire mogućim rješenjima. Osnova su za izradu prometnih projekata i njihovo financiranje iz EU fondova. U radu je analiziran prometni sustav funkcionalne prometne regije Središnja Hrvatska s naglaskom na cestovnu infrastrukturu. Analiziran je položaj prometnica Republike Hrvatske (RH) u transportnoj prometnoj mreži Europske unije (TEN-T) kroz strateške dokumente RH. Dan je prikaz izrađenih i u radu prometnih Master planova funkcionalne regije (više županija) i planova održive mobilnosti u gradovima.The traffic development strategy of the Republic of Croatia introduces the obligation of traffic planning on the new bases. Transport infrastructure should support balanced regional development and complementarity between rural and urban areas. It is necessary to develop an integrated approach and to provide mobility and equal access in all areas, thus creating the conditions for economic development. Priority should be given to functional regions, and development processes should be analyzed independently of the administrative-territorial boundaries. The development of Master Plan of Traffic Development is encouraged, as expert backgrounds, which need to identify the problems and opportunities to improve the city or region transport system, and to set up frameworks for possible solutions. They are the basis for the development of transport projects and their funding from EU funds.The paper analyzes the traffic system of the functional traffic region of Central Croatia with an emphasis on road infrastructure. The position of the Republic of Croatia (RH) road in the European Transport Network (TEN-T) was analyzed through the strategic documents of the Republic of Croatia. Also, an overview of the functional Master Plan of Functional Region (more counties) and the plans for sustainable mobility in cities is given
