Analysis of Moving Traffic on the South Road Bypass Around the City Čakovec with Proposed Measures to Increase Security

Abstract

Planiranje, projektiranje, izgradnja i održavanje cesta značajan je element za osiguranje protočnosti prometa. Uvjeti koji određuju sigurnost cestovnog prometa povezani su i sa načinom vođenja i upravljanja prometom kao i planiranom prometnom infrastrukturom pojedinog područja. Grad Čakovec kao administrativno, gospodarsko, ekonomsko i kulturološko središte Međimurske županije prema prostornom i prometnom položaju značajno je prometno središte. Južna obilaznica Čakovca sastavni je dio državne ceste D3 i poveznica je državne ceste D2 i autoceste A4. Prema prometnom značaju pripada cesti s velikim prometnim opterećenjem. Zbog značaja kojeg ova cesta ima u prometnom ali i u smislu sigurnosti cestovnog prometa za grad Čakovec, analiza prometnih tokova i stanja sigurnosti prometa vrlo je značajan element u daljnjem razvoju prometnog sustava grada. Analiza prometnih tokova i novi prijedlog unaprjeđenja sustava vođenja i upravljanja prometom na južnoj obilaznici grada Čakovca u cilju povećanja sigurnosti cestovnog prometa osnovni je element ovog diplomskog rada.Planning, designing, building and maintenance of roads are the key elements for ensuring the flow of the traffic. The conditions that determine the safety of road traffic are connected with the way of leading and controling the traffic as well as with the planned traffic infrastructure of a certain area. The city of Čakovec as an administrative, economic and cultural center of Međimurje county, according to geographical and traffic position is an important traffic center. Southern bypass of Čakovec is part of the state road D3 and a connection of state roads D2 and highway A4. Its traffic importance makes it a road with a large traffic load. Because of its traffic significance, as well as its significance in road safety for the city of Čakovec, analyzing the flow of traffic and the conditions of safety are very important elements of further development of the city traffic system. Analysis of the flow of the traffic and the new suggestion of improving the system of leading and controling the traffic of southern bypass of the city of Čakovec as a way of ensuring the road traffic safety are the key elements of this work
