Abstract

A new and rapidly growing branch of economy - rural tourism - has been started up in the Lithuanian countryside. This new business in our country creates workplaces, incomes, and new cultural values. The development of a rural tourism business is a golden opportunity for the development of rural infrastructure and the country economy. However, for effective performance and development cooperation among business consultants is necessary. The need of consultations exists in every business irrespective of its size, nature of activities, or infrastructure. Intensive of competition and progress in science and technology are connected with a rapidly growing demand for business consultations. This article presents the analysis of rural tourism business providers and consumers. Consultation techniques, range of consultations and methods are defined as well as homestead keepers’ requirements and attitudes towards consultations are presented in the article
