Numeric simulations of rotating flows are often limited by effects in the boundary layer, which need a very high grid resolution. This work investigates the ability of precession driven flows to amplify magnetic fields due to the dynamo effect in a cubic geometry. Here, free-slip boundary conditions are used instead of more problematic no-slip conditions while calculating a DNS system on gpu-computing machines. This provides further insights into dynamics of rotating fluid generally and supports the forced precession experiment realized by DRESDyn
