Background: complete basic immunization has an important role to prevent the occurence of certain deseases. Several factors that influence the complete basic immunization is knowledge and motivation.
Aim: to determine the correlation between mother’s knowledge and motivation with complete basic immunization for babies Age 0-24 Month at Work Area of Puskesmas Sosial Palembang.
Method: analytical survey method with cross sectional design. Sampling with purposive sampling of 80 respondents and data analysis is used Kendall Tau. Result: Majority of respondents were early adult mother 58 mothers (72,5%), age group of babies (1-12 months) 53 babies (66,25%), medium education 60 mothers ( 75%), female babies 43 ( 53,75%), good maternal knowledge 67 mothers (83,75%), negative maternal motivation 42 mothers (52,5%) and complete basic immunization 46 mothers (57,5%). There is relationship with a positif direction and a strong enough association between knowledge with the provision of complete basic immunization (p = 0,006 ; r = 0,307 ). There is no relationship between motivation with the provision of complete basic immunization (ρ = 0,605 ). Therefore, it is necessary to increase the role of health workers to encourage mothers to complete basic immunization
