Une approche par les compétences pour l’apprentissage des soins infirmiers. Analyse des pratiques des enseignants.

Abstract

The aims of this qualitative research is to understand how the teaching methods of nursing teachers inhance the student's competencies development. Eight nursing teachers were interviewed in a non-directive approach. The data were analysed with a qualitative method: "structural analysis method". The results showed that their methods are in majority in a transmissive and behavioral model; an inadequacy between teaching methods and pedagogical goals; an abivalent and unclear understanding of their role; a lack of coherence in the assesment methods. To conclude, various strategies are proposed on institutional and national levels to support the implementation of a competence-based approach in nursing training
