Un completo estudio de datación a partir de criterios diversos (epigráfico-paleográficos, lingüísticos, onomástico-prosopográficos e históricos) de la inscripción CIL II 3434 de Carthago Nova, en la que se atestigua un esclavo de L. Aleidius, de nombre Pilemo, permite fechar el título en época de Sila o postsilana. Esta datación resultaría coetánea con la del único paralelo del gentilicio Aleidius, el nombre de un negotiator de Delos, y permite enmarcar la emigración de la gens Aleidia a tierras hispanas en el contexto del declive de la isla después de la guerra mitridática.A comprehensive study from various criteria (paleographic-epigraphic, linguistic, onomastic and historical-prosopographic) of the date of the inscription CIL II 3434 from Carthago Nova, where a slave of L. Aleidius, named Pilemo, is attested, allows dating the title in the Sullan or Post-Sullan period. This dating would be coeval with the only parallel of the name Aleidius, a negotiator from Delos, and allows placing the migration of the gens Aleidia to Hispania in the context of the decline of the island after the Mithridatic War
