Abstract

This article places the problem of the interpretation of Kant's Critique of Judgement systematically and historicaily. The enlightment worked towards an autonomous aesthetic, trying to establish the figure of the genius and to characterize the judgement of taste. Kant culminated these attempts justifying the objectivity of taste: aesthetical universality and necessity lay on the harmony of the subject's faculties, which, besides opening doors to aesthetical pleasure and concrete expressions of any judgement of taste, refers to a representation of knowledge in general
