Este artigo propõe a articulação entre os aspectos subjetivos, desenvolvimentais e cognitivos dos processos semióticos num contexto psicológico e o fundamento histórico, institucional e ideológico dos sistemas de signos num contexto sociocultural. Para tanto, procura-se recuperar alguns fundamentos para a rejeição à dicotomia mente-corpo, explorar as implicações desta rejeição e estabelecer relações entre o processo de mediação semiótica e a teoria das representações sociais. Propõe-se, então, tanto teórica como metodologicamente, uma síntese psicosocial para a psicologia do desenvolvimento, por meio da integração da análise dos atos da fala para o estudo dos paradigmas pessoais, da tomada de consciência e do desenvolvimento cognitivo e metacognitivo.This paper attempts to analyze the integration of subjective, developmental and cognitive aspects of semiotic processes in a psychological context with the historical, institutional, and ideological grounding of sign systems in the sociocultural context. In this analysis, arguments against the mind/body dichotomy are reviewed, their implications examined and relations between the process of semiotic mediation and the theory of social representations are established. A psychosocial synthesis, providing both theoretical and empirical guidelines for Developmental Psychology, is proposed..
