PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE INSIDE OUTSIDE CIRCLE UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PEMAHAMAN KEGIATAN EKONOMI MASYARAKAT

Abstract

Abstract: The objective of this research is to improve the understanding on the economic activity of community through the application of the Cooperative Learning Model of the Inside Outside Circle (IOC) type of the students in Grade IV of Islamic Primary School Al-Islam 1 of Ngesrep, Boyolali in Academic Year 2012/2013. This research used the classroom action research with two cycles. The subjects of the research were the students in Grade IV of Islamic Primary School Al-Islam 1 of Ngesrep, Boyolali in Academic Year 2012/2013 as many as 25 students. The data were gathered through test, documentation, in-depth interview, and observation. They were then analyzed by using the interactive technique of analysis comprising three components, namely: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing or verification. The result of the research shows prior to the treatment, the class average score of the understanding on the economic activity of community is 54.60 following the treatment, it becomes 71.56 in Cycle 1 and 86.42 in cycle II that the application of the Cooperative Learning Model of the Inside Outside Circle (IOC) type can improve the understanding on the economic activity of community of the students in Grade IV of Islamic Primary School Al-Islam 1 of Ngesrep, Boyolali in Academic Year 2012/2013. Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman kegiatan ekonomi masyarakat melalui model pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe Inside Outside Circle (IOC) pada siswa kelas IV MI Al-Islam 1 Ngesrep, Boyolali tahun 2012/ 2013. Bentuk Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV MI Al-Islam 1 Ngesrep, Boyolali, jumlah siswa ada 25 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah tes, dokumentasi, wawancara langsung, dan observasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model analisis interaktif meliputi reduksi data, sajian data, penarikan kesimpulan atau verifikasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, nilai pemahaman meningkat dari sebelum tindakan yaitu 54.60, siklus I meningkat 71.56 dan siklus II meningkat 86.42 disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe Inside Outside Circle (IOC) dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang kegiatan ekonomi masyarakat pada siswa kelas IV MI Al-Islam 1 Ngesrep, Boyolali Tahun 2012/2013.
