This report, which assesses the effects of state government on urban economies in Texas, is the product of a policy research project conducted at the LBJ School in 1983-84. Funding for publication was provided by the Texas Research League, the Texas Lieutenant Governor's Office, and the Lyndon B. Johnson Foundation.
