RILIEVO DI FATTORI XENOBIOTICI, CON PARTICOLARE RIFERIMENTO A NICOTINA E COTININA, IN CAMPIONI ISTOLOGICI APPARTENENTI A FETI E NEONATI DECEDUTI PER CAUSE NATURALI.
RESEARCH OF XENOBIOTIC FACTORS, ESPECIALLY OF NICOTINE E COTININE, ON HISTOLOGICAL SAMPLES COLLECTED FROM FETUSES AND NEWBORNS DEAD FOR NATURAL CAUSES.
As Sudden Infant Death Syndrome still holds many unknown etiopathogenetic aspects and as analytic chemical instruments and methods have appreciably improved in the past years, samples of 35 corpses, represented by fetuses and newborns dead for natural causes, have been subjected to analytical research for xenobiotic substances. Kidney, liver, lung, brain, skin, and sometimes small amounts of hair, have been collected during autopsy, for a total of 151 samples. All the samples have been analyzed first by screening tests for toxicological substances and then by ICP-MS analysis for 61 different metals. At last, all the 151 samples have been subjected to UPLC/MS-MS technique for the relief and dosage of nicotine and cotinine
