The identification of two ancient sculptures \u2013 a Bacchus and a Warrior
\u2013 of the famous Giustiniani collection, found in an auction catalogue of
1969, allows to reconstruct the history of some Roman statues and
inscriptions from the Altoviti and Giustiniani collections in Rome,
between the late nineteenth and early twentieth century entered into
the family homes of bankers Cahen, the castle of Torre Alfina (Viterbo)
and Allerona villa near Orvieto. On the collections of art and antiquity
of the family there are few reports, that make it difficult to reconstruct
the events, ending with the dispersion after the transfer abroad of the
last Cahen
