This chapter is about the wreck of the MSC Napoli off the coast of East Devon in the UK in 2007, the containers that washed ashore, and the ways in which people helped themselves to, and made diverse use, of their contents. It uses this event as a means to discuss wider arguments about 'material geographies' through 3 lenses: landscape, commodities and creativity.
