From Luis de Góngora to Marcos Maestre: the three-piece, white, embroidered vestments of Saint Michael's parish church in Jerez de la Frontera (1584-1634)
En este artículo se recogen los hechos ocurridos en torno a la elaboración del terno blanco bordado
de la parroquia de San Miguel de Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz). Además, gracias al hallazgo de
un manuscrito de Luis de Góngora, uno de los artífices que contribuyeron a su creación, se aportan
nuevos datos acerca del agitado proceso, el cual se prolongó en el tiempo a lo largo de cincuenta años.This paper collects the facts that occurred during the making of the three-piece, white, embroidered
vestments of Saint Michael’s Parish Church in Jerez de la Frontera. Moreover, owing to the discovery
of a manuscript by Luis de Góngora, one of the artist who contributed to its creation, brand new
