氏 名授 与 した 学 位専攻分野の名称学 位 授 与 番 号学位授与の日付学位授与の要件学位論文の題 目王 海波博 士工 学博甲第4269号平成23年 3月25日自然科学研究科 産業創成工学専攻(学位規則第5条第 1項該当)DevelopmentofHapticDeviceandInvestigationonHumanMechanism ofLengthPerceptionbyFingersGraSplng(触覚デバイス開発と指の把持動作における長さ知覚メカニズムに関する研究)論 文 審 査 委 員 教授 呉 景龍 教授 柳瀬 真一郎 教授 冨田 栄二学位論文内容の要旨Touchisouroldest,mostprlmitiyeandpervasivesense･It'S也e且rstsenseweexperiencein也ewomband也elastonewelosebeforedeath.HumansexcelatrecognlZlngShapes,objects,andmaterialviatactilemeans.EarlystudiesusedcognitivepsychologlCalmethodstoexploretheperceptualprocesslngOftactilerecognltion･Resultsofthesestudiessuggestedthatpeoplearecapableofidentifyingobjectsusingtouchaloneumderdiferentconditions･Theresearchesonlengthperceptionwiththumbandindex丘ngergrippingweremuchreported.However,therearescarcelengthperceptionstudiesusingmulti-flngerSgraSPing･Hereweadoptednewdevicesthatpresentedlengthstimuliwithmulti-flngerSandinvestigatedthelengthperceptionmechanismwithmulti-fingersgrasping.1)hordertoclarifythehumancharacteristicofonelengthperceptionbyusingfingers.Wedevelopedatactilelengthmeasuringdeviceinthisstudy.Byushgthisdevice,someexperimentsweremadetoclarifythehuman lengthperceptionforfingers(thumb,indexfinger,middleflnger),Theseresultssuggestthathum antactilelen辞hperceptionincaseofthreefingersusingisbeterthan thatoftwofingers(thumbandindexfinger)condition.2)hordertoclarifythehumancharacteristicoftwolengthsperceptionbyusingfingersIWedevelopatactilelenがlpresentationdevicefortwolengthswiththreeforefingers,andinvestigatethehuman tactilelengthperceptionfortwolengthswith threeforefingersgrasplng.TheresultsshowedthatbeterperceptlOntookplacewhenshorterlen辞hswerepresentedtothethumbandtheindexfingercomparedtobeingpresentedtothethumbandthemiddlefinger.Asaresultofforcesensor,gripforcesshownoslgnificantdiferenceintherangeofstimulatlnglength.3)Thepurposeofthisstudyistodevelopafour-degree10f-freedom(4DOF)lengthdisplaydevicebyfiveflngerSandclarifythehumancharacteristicoffourlengthsperceptionbyusingfingers.Thedevicecanchangethedistancebetweenthethumbandfourfingers,andthedistanceiscontroledbyfourstepplngmotors.Thepositionsofeachunitincludingamotorareadjustableforeachsubject.Thedevicefitingthesubjectcanbeprovidedtorenecttheresult･Byusingthisdevice,someexperimentsweremadetoclarifythehum an lengthperceptionforflVefingers.TheseresultssuggestthathumantactilelengthperceptionincaseofflVeflngerSuSlnglSSimilarwithtwonngersconditionseparately.Inourpresentstudy,Weadoptedthreehapticdevicesformulti-lengthsperception,bywhichmulti-1engthSjudgmentcanbeperfわrmedmeanwhileandpαceptlVepropertiesofmulti-1eng血sjudgmentweregotaccordingly.However,ourexplanations,especialy丘ompsychologlCalaspects,arefarbeyondconvincing,andfurtherstudieslikefMRI,arestilneededtovalidateourexplanations論文審査結果の要旨指の把持動作による物体知覚メカニズムはまだ解明されていないのが現状である.道具､三次元模型などの実物を触覚の知覚対象とした従来研究は多くある｡しかしながら､道具などの実物を知覚する場合は被験者の生活経験と記憶特性に依存する問題がある｡本研究では､長さ知覚特性による物体知覚メカニズムを究明するアプローチを提案して指の把持動作における長さ知覚メカニズムを研究する｡まず､任意の長さの呈示ができる実験装置を製作して,親指と人差し指および親指と中指による-種類の長さ知覚実験､三本指による-種類の長さ知覚実験および三本指による二種類の長さ知覚実験を実施した｡さらに､五本指の把持動作による長さ知覚の差異を検討するため,四自由度の長さが呈示できる実験装置を製作した｡このような実験装置を用いて一種類の長さと四種類の長さ知覚実験を行った｡得られた主な研究成果は下記のとおりである｡1.0-100mmの長さ範囲において､三本指 (親指と人差し指･中指)と二本指 (親指と人差し指)を用いて一種類の長さを知覚する場合は､二本指より三本指の知覚精度が高い｡さらに､70mm前後での長さ知覚の誤差が大きいことは分かった｡2.親指一人差し指間と親指一中指間の長さ知覚精度には差異がないことが分かった｡さらに,指の把持力が長さ知覚に影響しないことは分かった｡3. 四自由度の長さ呈示装置を研究開発し､その有用性を実証して､初めて五本指による-長さと四長さの知覚実験を実施した｡実験結果より80-100mmの長さ範囲で､五本指による-長さ呈示知覚実験に比べて四長さの知覚誤差が大きくなったことが分かった｡本研究の成果は､日本機械学会論文集と国際会議講演論文集に掲載されている｡また,国際会議と日本国内学会に参加して､関連分野の研究者と交流し､それらの研究成果は高く評価されている｡本研究によって得られる成果は､人間の指の把持動作による物体知覚メカニズムの解明とヒューマンインタフェース等の応用に､有用な基礎データを提供できる｡よって､審査委員会委員は全員一致して､本論文は博士 (工学)の学位授与に値すると判定した｡
