Este artículo se centra en la obra del poeta chileno Teófilo Cid posterior a su periodo vanguardista y que habitualmente no forma parte del repertorio de la recepción crítica. Es posible evidenciar allí problemáticas sociales y políticas que permiten comprender su compromiso con una específica forma de realismo social. El espejo, el río, la noche y la infancia son algunos de los ejes centrales que articulan una poética de ricas posibilidades de expresión.This article focuses on the post avant-garde work of Chilean poet Teofilo Cid. This is not usually part of the repertoire of critical reception. In this text we can find social and political problematic that facts help us to understand their commitment with a form of social realism. The mirror, the river, the night and childhood are some of the central motives present in a poetic full of a lot possibilities of expression
