In many countries, crumb rubber is used to increase sub grade stability. This is the reason to use it as additive material
in clay stabilization. California Bearing Ratio is used to examine the influence of using nylon reinforced tire sliced into
square for clay stabilization. This crumb rubber is added in Optimum Moisture Content, near optimum and wet side.
The results show the addition of sliced crumb rubber unsignificantly increase CBR value at wet side optimum. However,
CBR value decreases while sliced crumb rubber is added until OMC.
