El objeto de esta contribución es examinar la construcción del
mito de Salomé en el canon literario europeo. El artículo se centra en el
tratamiento literario y artístico de esta figura femenina en los Evangelios, las
sagas populares y leyendas hagiográficas, así como en las obras de Heinrich
Heine, Tiziano, John Keats, los prerrafaelitas Gustave Flaubert, Théophile
Gautier, Gustave Moreau, Joris-Karl Huysmans, Stéphane Mallarmé, Oscar
Wilde y Aubrey Beardsley.The aim of this article is to examinate the construction of the myth
of Salome in the European literary canon. The article focuses on the analysis
of the literary and pictorial treatment of this female figure in the Biblical
texts, the popular and hagiographic legends as well as in the works of
Heinrich Heine, Titian, John Keats, the pre-Raphaelites, Gustave Flaubert,
Théophile Gautier, Gustave Moreau, Joris-Karl Huysmans, Stéphane
Mallarmé, Oscar Wilde and Aubrey Beardsley
