The thesis presents the construction process of a road crossover over the railway and a reconstruction\ud
of regional road segment from the contracting company view. The first part describes the construction technology of building a road crossover in consequent stages. The second part of the thesis analyses execution of construction, focused to delays and interruptions of the works. The main causes for delays are identified and analysed. The thesis further discusses the use of labor force in the project execution. Typical ways of manpower allocation on a worksite and their advantages and disadvantages are discussed. In conclusion, the thesis summarizes the key findings of the thesis, and lists contemporary problems that construction companys are faced by. Recommendations for efficient project execution are finally provided
