The graduation thesis describes, on the basis of vectorised geological maps, creation of Geographic Information System for Geology. Geological maps are made on the basis of remote sensing, descriptive information of the situation in the field and laboratory studies of the ground obtained rock samples. They are thematic maps and are most burdened maps with the cartographic symbols. This is why the process of preparation and production of geological maps is time-consuming and complicated. As a practical part of the graduation thesis the production of cartographic symbols for point and line symbols is presented. In the geographic information system is also added textual information of stratigraphic units and faults
