The aim and object of this thesis is to provide the best solutions for development and renovation of the village Hrovača near Ribnica through theoretical and practical background. The thesis has a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part is based on the characteristics of the Slovenian countryside, rural development potential and impact of urbanization on the countryside. In the practical part the village Hrovača is presented in the wider and the narrow space. Following are the results of the survey questionnaire, which was carried out among random households in the village Hrovača, and detailed spatial analysis, which are graphically presented on maps with a scale of 1:3000. In the end there are possibilities of development and arrangements of Hrovača, based on theoretical and practical starting-points. The arrangement suggestions include guidelines for regulating engineered structures, infrastructure, green areas, recreational areas and tourist attractions
