The Republic of Slovenia has established a new national coordinate system as part of the European Spatial Reference System. As a consequence, the procedure for making expert's detailed report for geodetic services has been changed as well. This Graduation Thesis describes the procedure for making expert's detailed report for registering the area of a building into Land Cadastre and recording the building into the Building Cadastre according to Real Estate Registration Act and new Rules on Building Cadastre Registration. Therefore, first part of the Thesis depicts legal issues and guidelines for making the expert's detailed report for registering the area of the building when building area is not recorded yet. Second part of the thesis describes further description of data, stored in different national evidences. On the other hand, the research shows connection between Building Cadastre with other national databases/evidences. Nowadays, survey companies are obligated by the law to produce standardized expert's detailed reports considering the Building Cadastre services, which are also presented in the Thesis. Last part of the research shows practical work methods for making expert's detailed report for registering the area of the building into Land Cadastre and recording the building into the Building Cadastre inside the GEOS7 software environment
