In this master's thesis, a new kind of expert basis for spatial planning is defined – the Analysis of land ownership. The ownership concept of a State in the space in spatial planning is of big importance, since property is already stated as a constitutional category. In the framework of the thesis, the ownership concept in our country is presented. Based on ownership concept, material and other rights on land are presented, which are evidenced in the land registry. These rights are undefineable for the spatial planning act, if they can not be allocated in the space. The linkage between the space and rights related to the land is the evidence of land cadastre, more exactly, a part of these evidences – the cadastral graphical presentation. In the thesis the quality of the cadastral graphical presentation is defined as a level of trust to allocate data on the cadastral graphical presentation itself. This presents a new approach in spatial planning. The analysis of land ownership consists of a set of material and other rights related to the land, that are located on the cadastral graphical presentation and the level definition of the level location's trust. In the master thesis, the analysis has been implemented for the level of a local community spatial cut and for the level of separate spatial arrangements on the state and local level. In addition to presented rights stated in the land registry, which are the subject of the analysis, basic characteristics and specialties of surveying records are also given, which are also the subject of the analysis, since appropriate data interpretation influences the quality of the analysis. As examples of foreign experiences in this field, Austrian and Croatian approaches are presented
