Abstract

Dynamic imaging (frame rate: 15 Hz) of an ex vivo porcine carotid artery fixed to a rigid backing. Initially the artery is filled with water, and at time t = 1 s a syringe filled with glass bubble-loaded water is manually compressed. The bolus of glass bubbles arrives at the image plane at t = 7 s, and the syringe is finally depressed at t = 12 s. The experimental set-up can be seen in Fig. 5 of the main manuscript, and each image was acquired, reconstructed and displayed in real-time. The video is displayed at a frame rate matching that of the acquisition
