Background: Basketball is one of the favorite sports in Indonesia with its achievement. Although basketball players have attended regular training programs from coaches, the fact that Indonesia’s basketball players achievement in international level match event that results no change. It may be caused by underestimated physical factors, one of which is the length of the leg, there is the possibility of the length of the leg affecting the jump in the match thus affecting the performance of basketball players.
Research Objectives: To find out the relationship between the length of the leg and the leap height of high school basketball players in Surakarta.
Benefits of Research: To find out the relationship between the length of the leg with leap height of high school basketball players in Surakarta.
Research Method: The type of research used in this research is Observational with Cross Sectional approach. Technique of earning the sample is Purposive Sampling with the number of respondents as many as 56 people. Leg length measurements use meter from trochantor major that is perpendicular to the floor while measuring leap height by doing jump with tight position to the wall as high as they can then measured using meter. Correlation test using Pearson Corelation Test.
Result: Based on Pearson Corelation test result, p-value 0.000 <0,005 then H0 and Hα are accepted. So it can be interpreted that there is a relationship between the length of the leg with leap height high school basketball players in Surakarta.
Conclusion: There is a relationship between the length of the leg and the leap height of high school basketball players in Surakarta
