Optimasi Formula Tablet Ekstrak Daun Sirsak (Annona Muricata L.) Dengan Bahan Pengikat CMC Na Dan Penghancur Explotab Menggunakan Metode Factorial Design

Abstract

The previous study showed that ethanol extract of soursop leaves (Annona muricata L.) containing flavonoids can reduce blood sugar level at the dose of 50 mg/kgBB/day. The content of flavonoids in soursop leaves can reduce blood sugar levels. The aim of this research is know the effect of binder (CMC Na) and disintegrant (explotab) to physical properties of granule and tablet, also to obtain the optimum formula. Concentration of CMC Na and Explotab FI (1%: 2%), FII (6%: 2%), FIII (1%: 8%), and FIV (6%: 8%). The optimum tablet formula was obtained with Design Expert software 11.0.5.0 (trial) using the Factorial Design method with granule quality parameters and the physical properties of the tablet including flow rate, weight uniformity, hardness, friability, and tablet disintegration time. Optimum concentration obtained was CMC Na 1% and explotab 2%. The prediction and verification results were processed by using SPSS test of one sample t-test at 95% confidence level showed significant differences in flow rate and angle of repose but showed no significant differences in tapped density, weight uniformity, friability, hardness, and disintegration time.
