SPEECH ACTS AMONG LEARNERS OF THE APPRENTICE STUDENTS IN
THE STATE 1 KARTASURA SMA. Essay. Faculty Teacher and Education Science,
University Muhammadiyah Surakarta. July, 2018. This study has 3 objectives (1)
describe the realization of expressive speech acts, (2) expressive speech acting
strategies, and (3) expressive speech acts of speech among learners against apprentices
in SMA Negeri 1 Kartasura. This research is a type of qualitative research with
descriptive method. The data in this study is written from the students of grade X SMA
Negeri 1 Kartasura for apprenticeship students about messages and impressions during
the internship at the school. Sources of research data in the form of documents, namely
messages and impressions written students to apprentices during teaching in SMA
Negeri 1 Kartasura. The results showed that the realization of expressive speech acts in
this study there are various expressive speech acts expressed by learners, among them;
expressive speech acts praises, expressive speech acts say thank you, expressive speech
acts criticize, and acts of speech apologize. This research has two speech act strategy
that is direct speech act and indirect speech act. The politeness of expressive speech acts
in this study has various maxims that have been analyzed in between; maxim of
generosity, maxim of humility, maxim of conclusions, and maxim of compatibility
