The purpose of this research is to describe: 1) implemntasi mentoring of children with special needs (autism) through special escort teachers, 2) obstacles implementation of mentoring children with special needs through special escort teachers, 3) knowing solutions to overcome obstacles when mentoring children with special needs through teachers special companion. This type of research is qualitative descriptive. Data analysis is data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. Data collecting method used in this research is the method of observation, interview, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that: 1) the mentoring activities were carried out with two models that were accompanied fully and not accompanied fully, the activities undertaken by special escort teachers to autistic students is assisting, guiding, directing, reminiscent in learning activities in the classroom or outside the classroom and make individual learning program (PPI), 2) obstacles faced when assisting children with special needs through special escort teachers is the lack of human resources or teachers graduated extraordinary education, incompatibility between special escort teachers with children with special needs, 3) efforts made by the school in overcoming obstacles while doing the assistance is to provide training to special escort teachers by bringing in experts or foundations, always coordinate with other special escort teachers, classroom teachers, and parents with special needs students to know the character of crew students
