Gambaran Kualitas Hidup Dimensi Kesehatan Fisik Anak Dengan Leukemia Di RSUD DR.Moewardi

Abstract

Leukemia is a blood cancer that many suffered by children, white blood cells (leukocytes) have increased in abnormal amounts in the blood and in the bone marrow so it is not able to function properly. Chemotherapy is one of the most widely used interventions to date in cancer patients, chemotherapy causes physical health problems that will cause serious effects, the effect will be a problem that will affect the quality of life of children as a whole. This study aims to determine the picture of the quality of life dimension of physical health of children with leukemia in RSUD Dr. Moewardi. This research is quantitative research, by using descriptive method and the design used in this research is cross sectional. The samples were 30 children of leukemia with sampling technique using accidental sampling. The research instrument used a quality of life questionnaire about the physical health dimension. Data processing techniques in this study using descriptive statistics. The results of the study showed that the age of most school-age leukemia (7-12 years) was 11 people (36.7%), with ALL type of Leukemia counted 24 people (80%) and most often found in boys as many as 23 (76.7%), poor quality of life as many as 17 people (56.7%) and 13 people (43.4%) have good quality of life. The conclusion of the study, most children who suffer from leukemia who undergo treatment of physical health dimensions have poor quality of life
