Abstract
The paper presents an evaluation of the content of zinc, lead, chromium, copper, nickel and cadmium in the surface horizon of arable soil at 10 m and 75 m from the national road DK63, on the section Siedlce-Lukow. The content of heavy metals in soil is arranged in the following decreasing series Zn > Pb > Cr > Ni > Cu > Cd and decreased in the distance from the roadway. The contents of metals do not cross the standard limit for arable soil, and was on the natural and geochemical background level for the sandy deposits.Celem pracy była ocena zawartości cynku, ołowiu, chromu, miedzi, niklu i kadmu w poziomie powierzchniowym gleb uprawnych w odległości 10 m i 75 m od drogi krajowej DK63, na odcinku Siedlce-Łuków. W badanych glebach stwierdzono zróżnicowaną zawartość metali ciężkich, która układała się w szeregu malejącym: Zn > Pb > Cr > Ni > Cu > Cd i zmniejszała się w miarę oddalania od pasa drogowego. Zawartość ta nie przekraczała dopuszczalnych stężeń dla utworów piaszczystych
