Plan de viabilidad para una aerolínea de bajo coste en Iberoamérica

Abstract

This report is intended to analyse the profitability of low-cost airline operations in Latin America in domestic as well as international flights since it was detected a lack of low fare airplane tickets in the area. To do so, first of all, a market study has been carried out that proposes Monterrey, México - Antofagasta, Chile as the optimal route to start company operations. Secondly, a legal viability plan has been done. Its objectives are: · To expose advantages and disadvantages of creating this sort of Company in the zone nowadays. · To determine what limitations and requirements need to be fulfilled in order to operate the selected route. Thirdly, an operational analysis has been performed so that it could be defined all necessary aspects to carry through the activities of the enterprise. This is achieved by underlining the different airline departments activities and characteristics, which allow to compute an estimation of operational costs. Finally, it is presented the business plan where the profitability of the company is determined as a function of different sales predictions. To do this, it is emphasised both the marketing plan and financial plan where a summary of the enterprise accounting is exposed
