Preliminary Chronic autoimmune inflammatory disease affecting the joints is called rheumatoid arthritis. The cause of rheumatoid arthritis until now not known for certain, but there are some allegations that may affect the incidence of rheumatoid arthritis is the existence of genetic factors, age, sex, lifestyle, and comorbidities. The purpose of this study to describe the predisposing factors and precipitation events rheumatoid arthritis in individuals living in the community. This type of research is quantitative research using descriptive analytic design. Sampling in this study using quota sampling technique obtained 77 respondents. This study was conducted in 11 villages in located in a district of Kartasura. Analysis of the data used is descriptive narrative analysis and univariate analysis. The results showed hereditary factors predisposing highest RA yes 32 (41.6%), the first to suffer the highest age 59-64 years 21 people (27.3% ), long-suffering majority 1- 2 years 47 (61.0%). Precipitation factors lifestyle the eating habits of purines most tempe 49 people (63.6%) , Most calcium milk consumption habits 41 (53.2%). Most job lifestyle factory worker 19 people (24.7%), 21-25 years old working majority 42 (54.5%), the largest exercise habits do not exercise 47 (61.0%). In most answers yes comorbidities have comorbidities 52 (67.5%), most types of comorbidities hypertension 26 people (33.8%). Conclusion predisposing factors are genetic, age, gender and precipitation factors ie lifestyle and disease
