Background: Tibia plateau fracture or tibia proximal fracture called as bumper fracture that somehow caused by an accident from outside of foot which is still on
the ground. When it comes to be a displaced, ORIF or Open Reduction Internal Ficxation would be needed.
Purpose: To know the benefit of physical therapy intervention such as Infra Red and Therapeutic Exercise for reducing silent pain, touch pain, and motion pain in
incision area, for increasing power of flexor and extensor knee muscle and decreasing oedema near incision areas from the operation before. Result: After doing therapy for 6 times, there are result in silent pain from T1: 2 to
T6: 1, touch pain T1: 5 to T6: 2, motion pain T1: 6 to T6: 3. There are result from increasing the ROM of active knee motion from T1: S= 0o-0o-80o to T6: S= 0o-0o-
120o and passive knee motion from T1: S= 0o-0o-100o to T6: S= 0o-0o-130o, also there are increasing the power of flexor knee as T1: 3 to T6: 4 and extensor knee as T1: 3 to T6: 4and there is decreasing of oedema from T1: 3 cm to T6: 0 cm. Conclusion: Infra Red and therapautic exercise could reducing silent pain, touch pain, and motion pain in incision areas, increasing ROM of knee joint, increasing
the power of extensor and flexor muscles, and reducing oedema in case of post ORIF tibia plateau fracture
