Penatalaksanaan Fisioterapi pada Osteoarthritis Genu Dextra Grade I dengan Modalitas Transcutaneus Electrical Stimulation dan Close Kinetic Chain di RSUP Dr.Sardjito Yogyakarta

Abstract

Osteoarthritis (OA) is a degenerative disease characterized by progressive erosion of joint cartilage and is a leading cause of chronic disability especially in old age. To know the implementation of physiotherapy in reducing knee pain, increase muscle strength and scope of joint motion and increase functional activity with Transcutaneus Electrical Nerve Stimulation and Close Kinetic Chain modality. After 6-fold treatment of pain relief with VAS, from T0: 1.4 to T6: 0, suppress pain T0: 3.1 to T6: 1.7 and pain at motion T0: 5.3 to 2 T6: 4.2. Muscle strength with MMT increased muscle value, ie flexor muscle T0: 4- to T6: 4, knee extensor muscle T0: 4- to T6: 4. LGS with goniometer occurring in knee flexion motion obtained T0: 118o to T6 : 123o, but the dextra knee extension movement has not yielded results with T0: 0 being T6: 0. Functionalities with WOMAC scale occur, on components having T0: 4 to T6: 2 which means limited pain sensation. In the stiffness component has the amount of T0: 3 to T6: 2 which means the availability of rigid decrease in the patient. Furthermore, the physical functional component has the number T0: 19 to T6: 15. Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve stimulation and Close Kinetic Chain can decrease pain, increase muscle strength, increase the scope of joint motion and increase functional activity
