Sven Thorwirth: Carbon chain- and ring-molecules in the laboratory and in space. 2001Im Rahmen der hier vorgestellten Arbeit wurden sowohl rotationsspektroskopische Untersuchungenausgewählter, astrophysikalisch relevanter Moleküle im Labor als auch radioastronomischeBeobachtungen linearer Kohlenstoffketten durchgeführt.Im Rahmen der laborspektroskopischen Messungen wurden die Millimeter- undSubmillimeter-Spektren des Cyanoacetylens, HC3 N , und seiner einfach substituierten Isotopomere HCC13 CN, HC13 CCN , H13 CCCN und HCCC15 N im Vibrationsgrundzustand und diversenastrophysikalisch relevanten Vibrationszuständen untersucht. Des Weiteren konnten die doppeltsubstituierten Isotopomere HC13 C13 CN, H13 CC13 CN, H13 C13 CCN und HCC13 C15 N im Laborerstmals rotationsspektroskopisch charakterisiert werden.Um die Vorhersage der Übergangsfrequenzen von direkten l-Typ Übergängen desHydrogenisocyanids, HNC, im Vibrationszustand v2 =1 für eine astronomische Suche zu ermöglichen,wurden die entsprechenden ∆J=1 Vibrationssatelliten bis 2THz vermessen. Begleitend wurde ebenfallsder Vibrationsgrundzustand von HNC im Labor untersucht. Für Hydrogencyanid, HCN, wurde eineReihe von direkten l-Typ Übergängen im 2mm- und 4mm-Bereich im Labor gemessen.Des Weiteren wurde das reine Rotationsspektrum des Ring-Moleküls Ethylenimin (c-C2 H4 NH) inausgewählten Frequenzbereichen von 9GHz bis 1.88THz beobachtet und analysiert. Durch Messungendes Stark-Effekts auf geeignete Hyperfeinstrukturübergänge konnten die von Null verschiedenenDipolmomentkomponenten µb =0.97(12)D und µ c =1.357(25)D verlässlich bestimmt werden, so dassauf Basis des nun vorhandenen Datensatzes exakte Vorhersagen für eine astronomische Suche möglich sind.Im Zuge der astronomischen Beobachtungen von HCN im protoplanetaren Nebel CRL618, inRichtung der galaktischen Zentrums-Quelle SgrB2(N) sowie den Quellen Orion-KL und G10.47+0.03gelang erstmalig die Detektion von direkten l-Typ Übergängen eines linearen Moleküls im Weltraum.Beobachtungen von HC3 N in CRL618 und Analyse der Vibrationssatelliten-Muster verschiedenerRotationsübergänge lieferten Informationen bezüglich des Temperaturprofils der zirkumstellarenHülle. Mit der Detektion von Vibrationssatelliten von HC5 N in CRL618 gelang desweiteren dererstmalige Nachweis von vibrationsangeregtem HC5 N im Weltraum. In this thesis, the results of rotational laboratory spectroscopic studies of selected astrophysicallyimportant molecules as well as of astronomical observations of the linear carbon chain moleculesHCN, HC3 N and HC5 N are presented.In the course of the laboratory spectroscopic investigations, millimeter- and submillimeter-wavespectra of HC3 N and its monosubstituted isotopomers HCC13 CN, HC13 CCN, H13 CCCN, and HCCC15 N in the ground vibrational and selected astrophysically relevant vibrationally excited stateswere investigated. Furthermore, the doubly substituted isotopomers HC13 C13 CN, H13 CC13 CN, H13 C13 CCN, and HCC13 C15 N could be characterized for the first time by means of rotational spectroscopy.To obtain reliable predictions for astronomical searches for direct l-type transitions ofhydrogenisocyanide, HNC, in its v2 =1 vibrational state, the corresponding ∆J=1 vibrational satelliteswere investigated up to 2THz. In addition, appropriate transitions belonging to the ground vibrationalstate were investigated. In the case of hydrogencyanide, HCN, the direct l-type transitions of the v2 =1state were measured in the 2mm and 4mm regime.Finally, the pure rotational spectrum of ethylenimine (c-C2 H4 NH) was investigated in selectedfrequency regions from 9GHz to 1.88THz. Stark-measurements of appropriate hyperfine transitionspermitted the determination of reliable values for the two non-zero dipole moment components µb =0.97(12)D and µ c =1.357(25)D. The new data set allows for accurate predictions of transitionfrequencies and line intensities required for an astronomical search for this molecule.Radio astronomical observations of HCN toward the protoplanetary nebula CRL618, the galacticcenter source SgrB2(N), and the regions Orion-KL and G10.47+0.03 yielded the first detection ofdirect l-type transitions of a linear molecule in space. Observations of HC3 N in CRL618 andsubsequent analysis of the vibrational satellite patterns of several rotational transitions providedvaluable information concerning the temperature structure of the circumstellar envelope. The detectionof vibrational satellites belonging to HC5 N in CRL618 marks the first detection of vibrationallyexcited HC5 N in space.
