The article deals with the issues related to the choice of a "special way" of modern Russia. Its necessity is dictated both by the historical and geopolitical realities of the Russian state and by the challenges and problems facing Russia at the moment. It is shown that the special way and its specification are inextricably linked with the national idea in its modern formulation. The idea is substantiated that neo-Eurasianism can and should become the theoretical basis of the "special way", a kind of platform for the formation and consolidation of the national idea of today's Russia in its Constitution.В статье затрагиваются вопросы, связанные с выбором «особого пути» современной России. Его необходимость диктуется как историческими и геополитическими реалиями Российского государства, так и задачами и проблемами, стоящими перед Россией в настоящий момент. Показано, что особый путь, его конкретизация неразрывно связаны с национальной идеей в ее современной формулировке. Обосновывается мысль, что неоевразийство может и должно стать теоретической основой «особого пути», некой платформой для формирования и закрепления в Конституции национальной идеи сегодняшней России
