The research conducted to describe the economic growth and tourism sector, this tourism sector consists of the number of tourist, tax & retribution of tourism, and examine the influence number of tourist toward tax and retribution of tourism and the influence tax and retribution of tourism toward the economic growth in Pangkalpinang. This research use the time series research and ex.post facto method. Data of economic growth use the indicator of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) constan price is taken from Central Statistical Agency (CSA) data as well as the number of tourist data. Indicator data tax and retribution of tourism include hotel tax, restaurant, entertainment and tourism business license retribution whom taken from Departement of Revenue, Financial Management and Regional Asset in Pangkalpinang. All data is taken by using 8 years since 2003 - 2010 quarter, so all data have n=32. While the method of data analysis use statistical analysis regression and simple corelation squence. The result of regression analysis indicate that : (a) the influence number of tourist toward tax and retribution of tourism have the regerssion equation X2 =8761,124+ 41971,05X1 , (b) the influence tax and retribution of tourism toward the economic growth have the regression equation Y=0,736 + 0,49X2 . While the result of analysis corelation indicate that : (a) the number of tourist have positive and significant influence to the tax and retribution of tourism, (b) The tax and retribution of tourism have positive and significant toward the economic growth in Pangkalpinang
