PENGARUH CORPORATE GOVERNANCE, KEPEMILIKAN MANAJERIAL DAN BONUS PLAN TERHADAP EARNINGS MANAGEMENT PADA PERUSAHAAN MANUFAKTUR DAN FINANSIAL YANG GO PUBLIC DI BURSA EFEK ASEAN 3(2008-2012)
Abstract: The objective of this research was to examine and analyze the effect of
corporate governance, managerial ownership and bonus plan on earnings management
of manufacturing and financial companies. It was a quantitative research with associative
approach, conducted at ASEAN 3 stock exchanges in 2008-2012. The data were
collected through questionnaire involving 143 samples of manufacturing and financial
companies listed in Indonesia, Malaysia and Philippines stock exchange. The data
analysis and interpretation indicates that: (1) corporate governance, managerial
ownership and bonus plan partially and simultaneously has direct significant effect on
Earnings Management. (2) there was no significant difference in proportion of
Independent Board of Commissioner, The size of the Board of Directors, Proportion of
Independent Audit Committee, Managerial Ownership, Bonus Plan and Earnings
Management between the Indonesia Stock Exchange and the Stock Exchange of
Malaysia. (3) there was no significant difference in proportion of Independent Board of
Commissioner, The size of the Board of Directors, Proportion of Independent Audit
Committee, Managerial Ownership, Bonus Plan and Earnings Management between the
Indonesia Stock Exchange and the Stock Exchange of Philippines. (4) there was no
significant difference in proportion of Independent Board of Commissioner, The size of
the Board of Directors, Proportion of Independent Audit Committee, Managerial
Ownership, Bonus Plan and Earnings Management between the Malaysia Stock
Exchange and the Stock Exchange of Philippines
